1950s Japanese red glass earrings

Metalsterling silver

Handmade in the Otways

Materials: 1950s Japanese glass, sterling silver.

Size: just under 5cm from the top of hook to bottom of glass.

These pieces are beautiful and unique. Some feature air bubbles indicating their age as part of their manufacturing process. These are not imperfections, rather part of their story. There’s no glass quite like old glass.

Handmade in Betsy Blonde’s studio, amongst the trees in the Otways, Victoria.

Meet the Maker

All Betsy Blonde pieces are created by Jacqueline Betsy, in her studio amongst the Otway forest. A lover of jewellery from an early age, Betsy Blonde's work is created using traditional metal working techniques incorporating hand selected gems and found vintage glass pieces. Every piece features silver or gold, sourced in Australia. Read more.

Our philosophy

Gems, vintage glass and recycled metals are used to bring you pieces that are made to be worn, and loved, for many years to come. Read more.
