Bonnie shell and pearl earrings - sterling silver or 9ct yellow gold
Handmade in the Otways
Description
Materials: sterling silver or 9ct yellow gold & vintage glass pearls.
These shells are cast via the lost wax method, then returned to my studio for hand finishing, handmade earring wire fitting and then pearl adorning.
These have two points of articulation which makes for a swingy, happy pair of earrings. I love earrings that "dance" when worn and the lustre of these pearls is just so lovely when they swing about. A perfect pair for everyday, or a special occasion. You could get married in these then wear them to the supermarket for the rest of your days. While I get it, I don't like making things for a one off event or occasion; rather I like to make things that will be worn often and loved. What's better than wearing your special occasion piece to accompany you through the every day stuff?
Size: approx 4.8cm from the top of hook to bottom of the glass pearl.
Both precious metal options of sterling silver and 9ct yellow gold are made to order and ship in approx 3 weeks (or less). Also available with an oxidised finish with white glass pearls. The oxidised pair pictured feature reclaimed freshwater pearls and they’re not available to order.
Handmade in Betsy Blonde's Otway forest based studio on Gadubanud Country.
