I melted sterling silver from my scrap jar in to blobs, then hand forged the blobs with a chunky old hammer to flatten them out, adding texture from the hammer's surface. Sterling silver stud earring posts have been soldered to the back of the blobs form the top of the stud earrings. The settings that hold the black Kyanite are also handmade from recycled silver and they dance when you move.
I've intentionally left tool marks and signs of the hand making process in these earrings. You can see where my hammer, files and pliers have been, adding to the story of these earrings.

Size: Studs approx 2mm round, total length from top of stud to bottom of Kyanite is 8.5-8.7cm.
