These pendants were cast from gold toned 1970s zodiac pendants. The original pieces are blotchy with age and not ideal for folks with sensitive skin to wear on the skin. Casting them in precious metals gives them a whole new life, they can now be worn all day and night, in the shower or even in the ocean. I only use solid, precious metals in my work; never plated, rolled or filled metals.
The pieces are cast in Melbourne using the lost wax method and hand finished in my Otway forest studio. These pendants are large, have a fabulous weight to them and are perfect for stacking or layering with your other favourite pieces.
Materials: recycled sterling silver.
Measurement: approx 3.8cm tall excluding the jump ring.
This listing is for the pendant ONLY. If you would like a handmade or commercially made sterling silver chain to go with this piece, they are available via the necklaces section of the website. The Pendant being worn is on a handmade 60cm trombone link chain and is available in the necklaces section of the shop.
Handmade in Betsy Blonde's Otway forest based studio on Gadubanud Country.
