The blessings of working with vintage treasures...

A lovely little parcel landed in my post box and I had to wait a few days to retrieve it after the wild, wild storms that swept the state.  I was very excited to receive this little parcel of treasure, in tact, in it's original tissue paper since the 1940s.  The addition of modern day tape, added by my supplier, is not ideal, but the tissue paper is its regular, crunchy goodness.  A lovely sounding preview of the treasures that lay within...

1940s Japanese glass in original factory tissue paper.
These glass ovals were made in 1940s Japan and I've not had the pleasure of having access to them for a little over a year.  The supply of vintage pieces is finite and sometimes I wait literally years for pieces to resurface again, other times I never see them again (to date).  Imagine my sheer delight to receive notification that these divinely beautiful glass treasures were available again.

I've had this glass style and shape in my collection for many years in a variety of colours.  I have to say, this is one of my all time favourite colours.  The glass is made to look like Turquoise; these are very typical of the time as a more affordable alternative to mined Turquoise.
I pair them with handmade earring wires in your choice of sterling silver or 9ct yellow gold, you can visit them online HERE.
As always, these are available in limited supply and they're available now.  Sterling silver are ready to ship inside of a day or so, 9ct yellow gold are made to order inside of 3 weeks.  I hope you will love them as much as I do!
