Candy heart pendant
Handmade in the Otways
Description
I'm the kind of old that my childhood of visiting the milk bar every Friday night while waiting for fish and chips is still a core memory I hold dear to this day. The prospect of cozy carbs, followed by a sugar hit and the promise of a new release movie was the highlight of any school week in the 1980s. Nostalgia forms a large part of my inspiration and these pendants reminded me of the candy hearts that used to be counted out into those little paper bags of joy, one by one.
You can't eat this pendant, definitely do not recommend, but you can wear it for many moons to come. This pendant is cast in Melbourne, in your choice of precious metal, using the lost wax method. Every pendant is hand finished in my Otway forest studio.
Inspired by candy hearts and their messages, you can wear this piece blank with its brushed matte finish or request it to be personalised.
Materials: recycled sterling silver.
This piece is available with complimentary "wonky" stamping with a word or initial/s of your choice at this stage free of charge. Charges will apply to personalise this piece in 2025, but for now personalisation is free. Please see final picture of my heart pendant on a bracelet, I wear this in honor of Frankie, my dearly departed Labrador who was also known as Bubba Bear. I made this the day she left us and have worn it every day since; it's taken a beating on my wrist and I love watching it age and change through daily wear.
This base price is for the pendant ONLY. If you would like a chain or a different sized jump ring, please choose that option via the menu options. The chain pictured in the first image is the handmade trombone link chain.
This piece is hand made to order just for you. Please allow 3 weeks for your pendant to be made and shipped to you.
Measurement: 2.5cm tall excluding the jump ring x 2.2cm wide.
Made in Betsy Blonde's Otway forest based studio on Gadubanud Country.
