North star earrings - bright sterling silver
Handmade in the Otways
Description
These are one of my most favourite pairs I've made. Ever. They allow me to use almost every metalsmith skill I've learned and almost every tool I own. I get to melt, recycle, hammer, roll out, cut, solder, wax cast, file, sand, polish each and every one of these earrings, by hand, to order for you.
Each pair of these earrings are handmade to order and each pair will vary ever so slightly. The stud tops are hand made using silver from my scraps jar. I weigh it out, melt it into a ball, hammer the ball flat before putting them through my rolling mill over and over to flatten the once melted ball down into fresh new sterling silver circle; each stud top get a unique shape that I use to suspend the north star from.
Materials - bright sterling silver
Size - 5.3cm from top of stud to bottom of star
Please allow 3 weeks for these to be handmade to order, just for you.
